Chemical Peels

Superficial chemical peels (NeoStrata, Skin Tech, Dermaquest, Dr Schrammek, SkinCeuticals)
Superficial peels are quick, in-office procedures. Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) gently dissolve outer layers of dead skin, repair damaged collagen and speed up cell turnover, helping the skin to appear healthier, plumper and tighter with enhanced smoothness and clarity. Peels are ideal for teenagers and young adults suffering from acne and excessive oil production. For mature ladies wanting a fresh and healthy complexion, peels offer instant results. Combined with specific scientifically proven topical creams, results will be enhanced.

As with all our treatments, clients are required to complete a medical questionnaire for the initial consultation. Women who are pregnant or breast feeding are not suitable candidates for chemical peels. However, microdermabrasion is a safe alternative.

Medium-depth peels
Skin Tech Easy TCA Classic or Pain Control Peels can be used as superficial to medium-depth peels, offering accelerated results for all forms of photo-ageing, sun damage, scarring, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin from trauma such as acne) and Melasma. By performing 4 treatments (one per week), these peels are designed to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin quickly. Lasermed manager Penny Jenkinson is the Skin Tech Key Opinion Leader (KOL) in South Africa and an International Master Trainer. This is the only peel that can be performed immediately after any other procedure, including laser therapy and needling.

Deep Peels
Lasermed offers a range of Phenol Peels from Skin Tech, namely Lip & Eyelid Peel, Easy Phen Light and Easy Phen Very Light. These peels are ideal for tightening the skin. They can be used to resurface the upper lip, plus offering a chemical blepharoplasty of the eyelids.
